What does it take to belong to our organization?
Well for starters......
The IOK Four Wheelers are open to anyone interested in four wheeling. We are not vehicle specific. More than half our members have Jeeps but many own Blazers, Dodges or Fords.
We mainly get together for trail rides but a few do go to truck shows. We are the producers of Gravelrama, which is held every August. Our club also puts on two 4X4 swap meets annually, one in the spring and one in the fall.
We hold many family functions (you do not have to be married to belong) throughout the year, including a bowling party, an adult and a Children’s Christmas parties, an Easter egg hunt mainly for members kids but we adults like to take part now and then and several campouts at our grounds to name a few. Every July about thirty families get together for a trip to Silver Lake Michigan sand dunes for a week of riding.
We generally have one trail ride a month when possible. These usually are held at Haspen Acres and the Badlands in Indiana, Daniel Boone Forest and Natural Bridge in Kentucky, and anywhere else we might find open to offroading.
To join our club you are required to attend a meeting to sign up. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at our grounds located on Valley Junction Road near Cleves, Ohio at 8:00 PM. After this first meeting you will need to attend one more meeting and three work details within six months to become probationary. At the beginning of your probationary period you will pay a fifty-dollar initiation fee and your first year’s dues of $105, which is prorated from the month of June. During probation you will be required to attend at least six monthly meetings within one year. You will also be issued a yellow card to record events and work days you attended during the probationary period. This procedure is for you to see what we do and for you to decide if you are really interested. After a one-year probationary period you will be voted on.
