The Big Eliminator

(AKA Super Hill)

Ken Boggs stages on the Big Eliminator for his turn to conquer the mountain of gravel.  Ken said, "I have been racing for ten years now and this was the first year I made it over the eliminator. What a feeling that was. Look forward to next year!"

Well Ken we look forward to seeing you go over it again this year.  Thanks for the photo.

What do you get when you cross a mountain of pea gravel with a 4 wheeler? One heck of a good time that's what.

This is why many competitors and spectators come to Gravelrama.  Standing seven stories high, with a length of 175 feet, and an angle of about 75 degrees this is one event no visitor to Gravelrama should miss.  Gravelrama XXXIII promises to be just as thrilling as years past.  This event is a must see on any off road fans list of things to do.

The object is to go over the top in your class. If more than one makes it over in the same class, those cars go back again. Only this time they start a little higher on the hill. If nobody goes over, the winner is the one going the farthest.

Although motor and tires are one of the most important parts needed. It also takes a driver with a lot of nerve and  knows what they are doing.  Believe us when we say these men and women have it all together when they come to that start line.

Chuck Stone of IOK gives the crowd something to remember on his final run at the

big hill.  Always a great competitor when racing, Chuck still provides assistance

in the production of this event.
